Root [International] Simplest/Best ROM Backup/Restore?

I'm running rooted Android 4.3 and have no intention of changing.

I've read various things about backup/restore for ROMs but there is lots of choice. What's the best choice for someone that may want to copy the setup to an identical phone (in case of hardware repair) and also a newer phone when I upgrade? Is there a good app for both or should I use two apps?

1) You can't use the ROM for one phone on another of a different model.

2) A nandroid backup is the only backup that backs up the entire phone. You do that through a custom recovery like CWM or TWRP. Restore to the same phone or to a phone with the same model number. Restoring an S3 nandroid backup to an S3 isn't good enough. If you have an S3 with a model number of i9100, restoring it to an S3 with a model number of i9101 may brick the phone.

Yeah just make a nandroid backup to external sd, put it in an identical rooted phone with the same recovery and restore it :thumbup:
