Root [International] Transparent status bar?

I thought it was safe with 4.1.2?
..i shouldnt do the test, should i?
 
it is yes, but only whilst you're running 4.1.2 kernel. When you're in recovery, you're not running the 4.1.2 android kernel. You're running the recovery kernel, which is unsafe... At least in CWM it is.

I would recommend flashing Philz recovery (linked in my Signature). Its based on CWM touch (but more options and better) plus it uses a fixed 4.1.2 kernel in recovery, so youre safe with it

i must have downloaded n flashed the wrong file for Philz. it was 1st download link on post 2. im a dummy :(
im stuck at siyah splash but can get into cwm. in cwm, instead of having the reboot option at top, it has "boot into recovery"
how bad is this lol (question mark dont work on lappy n im mega slow at qwety) :(

Hmm. I shoulda checked the checksum. I was doin so well lastnight and one mistake ruined it lol. Then my nandroid had an error so could only (thankfully) restore system. Then MyBackup Pro could only find corrupt files.
Total nightmare lol. Startin from scratch now :-)

Its ok mate. Only transparent in home screen but the notification panel is slightly transparent when youre in an app. I put these mods on it too..

Theres a bit of a bug with the status bar. I have nova set up to hide/show it with a gesture and sometimes when i return to home, the statusbar area is lighter coloured than rest of the screen until i hide then show it (hope that makes sense lol) il take screenshot next time it happens :thumbup:
 
it looks quite nice i might actually try it out and see. I am already using the 23 task toggle so i hope it does not interfere with that. You actually like the stock battery indicator? I Changed mine to the gauge it looks really cool.

just saw ure second post i can see the difference but i am on stock touchwiz so dont know if i would have the same issue or not.
 
Try it mate. The transparent mod should work with the 23button mod in the link i think. Im usin the normal toggles :thumbup:
Yeah i tried the guage yday and it does look hot but i use my phone plugged in a lot and the flashing annoyed me. Idealy id prefer no indicator coz i use Battery Notifier to show percentage
 
i downloaded the 412_23T_Blue_Icons_trans_theme.zip and flashed it via philz touch it said success but after restarting the phone nothing happened the toggle didnt change.
 
Did u flash one of the main mods first mate? I think they only work with them (either the normal toggles mod [1st download] or the 23 toggles mod [2nd download] then the indevidual mods) :thumbup:
 
no the one i had installed came with the aroma mod of neatrom. This replaces everything and removed the neatrom mod and installed it own mod and replaced all my battery indicators and all other settings i had done to my status bar.
