Root [International] Ultima ROM / help with kernel settings

Can someone please recommend a kernel for this ROM & the relevant settings? Boeffla kernel is constantly being mentioned, is this the one I should be looking at? I cannot post on the Ultima ROM thread as I a new member there.

What I need from my phone & how I use it:

Would like better battery life
I play NO games on the phone
I don't use any of the dual window multi task options
Do a lot of browsing on dolphin
Constantly in & out of messages/WhatsApp/phone dialer
Want no lag when I go into & out of applications

Many thanks in advance.

Boeffla is pretty good. Cant remember the name of the control app for it.
Theres also Siyah and Googy Max. Theyre great with TW roms and you can use the STweaks app to configure them

Thank you for the response. Is there a guide I can follow as I really wouldn't know where to start when it comes to setting it up?

Im not sure man. Do you know how to flash the kernel?
These control apps usually have an explanation of what each thing does but give us a shout if you need any advice.
I wouldnt advise messing around with voltages unless you know what youre doing
P.s, i dont think you can do much to cure Touchwiz lag. You can overclock the kernel for better performance but it will use more battery.
Best way to cure lag is to flash an aosp rom

When i was on TW, Perseus kernel was the best one for me. If i do go back down the TW route i WILL be trying Yanks kernel for Sammy ROMs tho :thumb:

Best bet to start off is apply one of the presets. What I did was copy the default profile rename it. The if you press menu > presets pick one eg battery and it will apply various specific settings like level of undervolting that are safe to use.
