Help Internet connected, gets background data, but cannot surf

Yes. Both Mobile and wifi. On multiple routers and connections.

It is connected. And some appa can get data. But only behind the scenes.

For example. Cat of facebook pops, and the text appears in the notification line. But in the chat app it says cannot connect.

Nor can chrome, facebook app, play store etc. work.

Might have I accidentally force stopped some system app?

I rebooted multiple times.

I had installed anyconnect vpn app of cisco. Force killed it. Ten the internet stopped. I started the app again, and internet ok. (I use internet without the app. But then internet stopped altogether......

Kill the VPN, then check your VPN and proxy settings. There shouldn't be any. (If you kill the app without reverting the changes it made, your phone is trying to connect to the internet through a connection that you killed.) Proxy should be None, VPN should be No VPNs.

Vpn settings it says not vpn and only the + sign to add new vpn

Proxy. I tried and seems there is no proxy.

I clicked long on the wifi i use and is connected. Advanced Settings and it says proxy - none.

Can pro y be setup eleewhere?

Not sure if it helps but I know I get a similar issue with Hideninja Pro app (alternate vpn). Some apps work others won't when its connected. Maybe get rid of all vpn apps/ connections possible. Worse case hard reset and start from scratch after a back up of course.

I will hard reset.

Is there an easy way to backup everything at once (like with iphone)? or I need multiple backup procedures?
