Help Internet issue

Hi, i have just replaced my iphone 4 with samsung galaxy S2. but i am facing one major issue. i am able to browse internet (that too very slow) but not able to login to google account and not able to use any chat engine. which was working very well in iphone..I am using vodafone live services....any help on this will really appriciable..
 
ur not able to login to ur google account on an android? wat do u mean? and wat do u mean a chat engine, could u be a bit more specific? :)

Hello and welcome harmaninder!

Just checking a few things.

Settings > Wireless and network > Mobile networks > Use packet data (is this ticked?)

Settings > Wireless and network > Mobile networks > Network mode (is GSM/WCDMA (Auto mode) ticked?)

Settings > Wireless and network > Mobile networks > Access point names (is the correct Vodafone APN checked?)

I am not a big lover of Vodafone Live and have my home page is set in the browser to the Google mobile search page...

You may have to contact Vodafone for your country and get them to give you the manual APN settings.

Do you normally have a 3G or 3.5G (H) signal where you are?

HeshanJ...i mean that i am able to browse internet but not able to configure google account. I have checked with my ISP (vodafone). they replied that i have to enable vodafone mobile connect service to use full internet.

i see. its strange that u can browse internet but not use ur google account. so im assuming this is purely on mobile internet, not wifi? i hope u figure out how to enable ur connection and that all will be well soon :) its a great phone

yes. i am using mobile internet that is why and i have figured out that i have to enable some extra services on my mobile...I trust i should enjoy this phone more that iphone4....what is ur personal comments on comparing iphone4 & samsung GS2
 
well i love android, i find it a much more powerful OS (and customizable) and iphone 4 was never an option for me. its also kinda unfair to compare the iphone 4 (2010) with the SGS2 which is almost a year newer. having used an iphone, and now owning the SGS2, im definitely gonna say i (and u) made the right choice :D everything just works on this phone. on this OS

are you on vodafone UK? you didn't say... i've found that vodafone UK restricts internet access until you register with them that you are over 18 years old, either by calling them or going into a vf shop with an ID or credit card... dunno, maybe that's your problem.
 
similar problem for me too in Estonia, I can use browser/browsers on mobile network but applications like skype, android market, shazam can't accsess network. Thats annoying as hell...
