Help Internet Speeds

ok just recently rooted my phone, btw revolution rooting info is by far the easiest one i have done. anyways my internet connection on the phone is really slow and wondering any tips on this. i have the evo 4g.
 
Also been getting slow download speeds, most noticeably in the market. Even when connected to wifi speeds are much slower than they should be.

Also recently rooted, using stock sense otherwise with the old market app.
