What explains the EVO being faster than the Hero on the same signal source? Faster processor? more RAM? newer Android? better WiFi chip? or am I way off?
Were you able to recreate this repeatedly?
The Hero has an old outdated CPU. The Evo with snapdragon is 4 times fast CPU processing power.
What is the point of this test?

What is the point this post? The CPU is not relevant to the speed of the connection.
The cpu is certainly important. On these devices that is your primary bottle neck and it won't matter how fast your connection is when your cpu is bottle necked.
Best to learn how computers work. All the data being benched is running through the CPU as well. Every bit of it.NO just NO. The cpu has nothing to do with the speedtest. A faster CPU can open the app faster and that's about it.

To the OP, thanks for posting your results. I don't know what is wrong with some of the people in this thread.
And yes, processor speed will matter in a speed test like this. Also, the wifi radio quality will matter. Things look good for the Evo.
thats the premium rich data experience at its finest right there..
