Hi,

As an intro I should start by letting you know I'm a a silver surfer of senior years but very interested in the rapid development if the wonderful IT technology that we have today.

Currently my interest in the Android market is the link to home computers and the internet, for years now starting with the Sinclair ZX81 I have been a computer buff, today I have computers running windows XP, Vista and Windows 7, some OS on desktop others on laptop and now of course using the San Francisco, I'm in heaven with a bedtop,

But seriously, although not a heavy user of the phone and text the link into the internet has opened up the horizon and will enable me to link with and keep up with the Grandchildren instead of being left behind.

Thank you for welcoming me to the forums, I'm sure I will become a regular subscriber in the future. :)

Hi Steven,

Thanks for your welcome, since my first message I have now unlocked my SF phone and installed Japanese Jellyfish OS to get Froyo 2.2. Successful so far with much assistance and guidance from the forums, just a few niggles but to be expected with a beta upgrade.
very satisfied with the experience so far. thank you again for your welcome. Tom
