Help invalid server certifcate

Hi all,

Yesterday I updated to gingerbread. Wow what an improvement.

I am using yahoo mail and today I notice when replying to a gmail account I am receiving an error about 15 secs "Invalid Server Certificate". The message stays in the outbox.

I am able to send to other addresses.

Any ideas on a resolution?

I noticed that the incoming/outgoing server settings for GB have "verify server certificate" (or similar) defaulted to checked. Try unchecking that setting in the account setup.

HTH,
Dave

Wierd now the email sent successfully after 10 tries. But the issue with yahoo account not listing i reported to motorola.

thanks

My Dad had the exact same issue. He still gets the invalid certificate some times. I don't think there is a verify certificate check box under the yahoo account settings.

To fix the account not showing I changed his password and then he went to check the mail. Then it gave the error that there was an incorrect password and gave options to go into settings. In settings, there was a remove account option.

He removed the account and then was able to add it back and it showed up and everything was working. We then changed the password back to the original password.

I have had gb since last Sunday and my corporate exchange email was working fine until this morning when I started getting the invalid server certificate error. Frustrating! I know nothing has changed with the work email servers...

I have been getting this error as well for the past week or so. When I noticed my incoming emails weren't being received, I tried to refresh it manually. Ever since then, it's very sporadic on when I can receive or send emails. I unchecked the "validate certificate" box, and it seemed to help for a day or two, but it is still busted. Any tips?
