First off, i take no credit for these apps, just reporting a find. So far, the apps that i've tested and find to work are:

Dropbox
ES File Explorer
Play Store
Talk
Google Quick Search
Translate
Twitter
YouTube(its working now)

The following didnt work for me properly or at all:

LatinImeGoogle
Google Drive
Chrome

The facebook i tested was inverted, but it was a very old version.

Any other input from the community would be awesome.

P.S. I have tried the V2 flashable package and no dice. I've had to copy/paste/fix permissions. It's also worth mentioning that any apk that had "inverted" in its file name had to have the "inverted" removed.
 
Try to stay away from flashing these. Instead, unzip the V2 zip, then unzip parts 1 & 2, copy and paste the folders inside those to their respective folders on the root level, i.e. stuff from the /data folder should get copy/pasted to the phone's /data folder and so on for the others. Once all that is done, reboot into recovery, select advanced, the fix permissions, back out to main recovery menu and reboot device. I had to remove the versions of these apps that i had BEFORE copy/pasting in order for this to take effect. Titanium Backup worked for uninstalling.
 
hey Samson , so I extracted the play store folder but I'm unsure of to where the meta inf folder goes . sorry for the noob question. thanks in advance and thanks for this great find .
 
No worries, bud. Ask away. Its how you level up. Lol. The meta inf folder is really just a home for the update(r) script. It tells recovery what to flash, where it needs to flash it, and other stuff like fix permissions.

That first pic is why i put Gmail in the "not working properly or at all" category. As far as changing the background, im sure there is, but it's going to be in one of Gmail's xml files, most likely.

Edit: i didnt see that pic of the play store before. Same as with Gmail background, though. If it can be changed, its most likely in one of it's xml files.

@bart - there's no technical advantage to using an inverted app. Its just a preference of color scheme. Most apps use a white background with black text. Inverted would just be the opposite.

Also, i noticed the inverted play store updated itself to the newest standard version, causeing it to lose inversion.

thanks a lot for this great find . I tried the SMS but its not working properly . after like 80 words it won't send . it sends pictures though

No worries. I'd rather stick with my themed stock messenger and Talk since i know those work. Mind PMing me your tweaked Gmail? Or posting here would work too.

all I did was go to ninja morph res/drawable mdpi and there's the PNG called list read holo and one called list unread just below . using ninjamorph just edited . thanks a lot Samson if it wasent for you , my phone would be plain old stock . you my friend are really great . thanks a lot

Awww, shucks. It was nothin'. Lol. I'll be good with black and blue, as its my personal fav, but i wouldnt mind a red one to go with my overall theme.

Edit: It works beautifully.

o ok , you installed the one on the v2 flash able zip only ? i tried the one under the full flash able pack .
 
The one i tried came from the full flashable pack, but it was the V2 version. I tried "newest version" but that didnt work. So i went with the next highest verdion available.
 
Thats the one i have. I just reinstalled it and it started up fine, but when i went back in 10 seconds later, it was back to normal.
