I went to BB and they had them in and I had them apply it to my DI. After I had payed the guy tells me not to put the caase back on my phone or use it for at least 6 hours!!! I was like what if I knew that I would have waited and put it on myself later tonight. Anybody have any experience with this?

Invisible shield drying time?

Not pleased with my shield purchase. It's been drying for about 20 hours now, and there are still about 10-15 bubbles, as well has fingerprints galore!
Are there any other good brands? I've heard people talking about an anti-fingerprint one?

No offense, the air bubbles and finger prints are your fault, not the skin's. If you take the time to apply correctly, you won't get those. Now, in your defense, it might take a few times to apply one to get it on good if you're not too good with your hands.

Agreed. And most of the time, the bubbles will dissipate. Fingerprints on the inside, probably not.
If you can't apply a screen protector correctly, you're going to get these problems with any one that you purchase.

I believe the dry time is just to make sure you
A) don't skew the skin messing around with the phone
B) gives time for any liquid you might of slopped in the phone to dry before you power it on.
I install mine with the phone on and within 30 minutes its usually set up enough that its not going anywhere.
Finger prints on the inside means you're going to be looking at finger prints until you pull the skin off and put a new one on. make sure your fingers are wet and try not to touch the inside skin surface when applying it. also its best to slowly work bubbles out as you go and if you have one that just wont come out pull the closest edge of the skin and apply it from inside out to push the air out.
Little bubbles will vanish in a few days unless you got some dirt under the skin in which case you will be looking at the bubble until you replace the skin.

Which is why the best $8 I ever spent at Best Buy was to let them put the thing on. If they screwed it up, they'd buy the next one.
They didn't, and I like it with the screen protector so much better. No fingerprints.

I've used Zaggs shield on my last three phones.
The "drying time" was as long as it took me to squeeze the bubbles out and snap the case back on.
I couldn't believe best buy was charging to apply the shield and I REALLY couldn't believe people were paying to have them do so.

Same here. Just went and had them do it this morning, looks like it came great. He also told me not to put the case on for a few hours so I will wait till later today.

6 hours would be fast. I would put it out in the sun (window ledge) or if it's not real hot, put it out in your car for a few hours in the sun. That gets it most of the way dry after a few to 6 hours. Then it takes another day or two for it to completely dry and cure. Patience people, these shields are great you just have to let them completely dry. You can stop playing with your phone for half a day or more, it's not hard. Don't mess with it for 6 hours or so, then use it lightly for the next day.

Yeah, but if you do it yourself and screw up, you can just return it and get your money back. Re-buy it and save yourself $8 and not mess up the second time.
But that's just me. I also don't pay full price at Best Buy for anything, including Zaggs (which are regularly 30-50% off online).

Most of the similar screen covers like Zagg(Invisible Shield)/BSE/ect. are very close in quality. I see people rave about one over the other and yes they are a little different but it seems most of the problems are due to the user/applier. I have installed countless of these type of screen covers and they are all great if they are on correctly and they also get better over time as far as peel/stickiness/cloudiness. It is frustrating the first few you try to put on but after that it is so easy and definitely worth it.
Also some bubbles take up to 2-3 days to work out and you can squeegee them out even after the first 12-24 hours and still get good results. Finger prints though shouldn't happen if you are careful and use the solution correctly.

Just wondering about the micro bubbles. Just installed my shield yesterday. When you all say the micro bubbles will dissipate in 2-3 days do they just naturally dissipate or do you have to work them out?
