Help iPad 2 and tethering?

[Crosley123]

New iPad2 with WiFi and have a Verizon HTC Incredible.

Was told there is no way to tether to the phone even if I root it. Verizon blocks it?

True? If so, any other ideas?

Thanks.

Officially:
I "think" VZW provides a "mobile hotspot" feature for the Dinc. The ipad should be able to connect to this hotspot. (VZW charges for this)

Unofficial:
If you root you Dinc you can add a app like "Wireless Tether" that will operate your Dinc as a hotspot which your iPad should connect to. (Note: the is against the T.O.S. you signed for your contract with VZW)
