Iphone 4 going to Verizon....

This calls for a celebration!

Now we won't have to listen to all them Verizon customers whining about how they wish they could get an iPhone. Good riddance.
 
That is a smart move by Verizon and Iphone. Something that should have happen from the beginning or when the Iphone 4 came out. The biggest complaint about the phone is the signal and Verizon's 3G will be here for a couple more years.

Personally I think the Iphone is over-rated and Android is a better system. Just look at the variety of phones you can get. Need a keyboard...Done. Want a bigger screen....Done. What a smaller "chick" phone....Done. Want a different provider....done. We have all the popular apps they do. Unfortunately the market sells the Iphone and thats all the general public knows.

Not to hag on the Iphone though. Smart move. Now I need to see if I want to switch roms.

Couldnt agree with you more,, Iphone Is most Definentily Overatted.
I would never Give up my DX for an Iphone...Ever.
 
The iPhone is a quality product. Hell most everything Apple makes is quality product. I had an iPhone for 2 years on AT&T and couldn't take the crappy service so I switched to Verizon and got my DX on launch day.

I couldn't be happier with my DX! I find smaller screens really annoying and I love how much I can customize it!!

That being said, the iPhone will make a lot of people happy on a quality network....and who knows, if the next generation of iPhone is improved upon a lot more than the 3Gs to Iphone 4 was, I may potentially look into it....maybe...

This works out perfectly for all of us who live in cities that wont get 4g anytime soon and do not wanna pay an extra $10 per month. I am tempted to just ship since i have never been sold on my DX.
 
It is about time that the iphone came to vzw, now all the complainers can go to their precious apple. The level playing field will be nice. I like how people can still praise that phone after all the problems its had and now its gonna be quite behind on technology with the 4G dual cores coming out. I've been saying it since the Droid launched, people love the iphone cause a toddler can use one.

btw, why is this in the Droid X forum? This belongs in the VERIZON thread. I don't wanna see this filth in the almighty X forums

Why would anyone willingly put the iTunes virus on their computer? That alone in itself is enough reason to never use ANY apple products!
 
didn't care for the last three years of rumors and still don't care

The extra $10 is a Sprint thing, not Verizon.

And this is still just a rumor. I thought they were going have a solid announcement from Verizon and/or Apple, but this is still just speculation as to what will be in that press conference.
 
I'm still an iPhone fan, though I like Android as well. iOS is still definitely more polished, the apps are just better. Android is improving though it's not all the way there yet. iPhone 4 is the best looking phone I've ever seen too, the 3G and 3GS were kind of cheap feeling but the 4 is a nice piece of engineering. On the other hand, I love the ability to easily customize Android phones and Widgets are nice though not essential. The biggest problem with Android is with updates, when you buy a new Android phone you have no clue what kind of support it is going to get and to me that sucks. I have an Epic and there's still no 2.2 and it's January, it's a joke. With Apple you know they'll support the phone a couple years. Overall I do like the flexibility of android but I still know the advantages to Apple's way (polished UI, beautiful, hardware, great battery, better apps, certain updates) Android is advancing at a rapid rate so I do feel there's a good chance that Apple's advantages will keep eroding but Googles still got to find away to make sure people buying new expensive phones aren't left out of updates due to incompetent manufacturers/carriers.
