iPhone 4 reviews are in...

You left out some words from their article:
"We're not going to beat around the bush -- in our approximation, the iPhone 4 is the best smartphone on the market right now."

In my approximation, not so. But hey, to each their own. I'll continue to not drop calls and always have good data coverage on my network. All I hear from my friends on AT&T is how bad the PHONE part of iPHONE is.

Nice thorough review, though. It'll only take them a few months or maybe weeks, then they'll have another best phone. Tech is simply moving too fast for us LOL.

There is one thing the iOS4 does well and that is smooth, buttery transitions. The Evo seems superlaggy compared to the well defined OS4.

Yeah, but I don't think that's Android's fault...I think it's one of several issues with the EVO.

At the end of engadget's iphone 4 review, they say it's the best phone on the market! Damn you Engadget. They've gone to the dark side. The Evo should battle the iphone 1 on 1. Then we shall see who is victorious. Evo FTW! muahahahahaha!

iPhone 4 review -- Engadget

Evo: "Iphone, I challenge you to a duel!"
Iphone: "Bring it bitch!"

Wait a mo.
MY nexus screen does NOT look like the one they posted a screen image of on Engadget.

I call BS on the screen image with the severe pixelation.

Not only is it hard to push down, it's just angled wrong. You cannot seriously say that the Power button is positioned correctly. Try hitting that button with a case on. You'll understand what I mean :)

Maybe you should try a different case.

Not to worry - Endgadget is an Apple whore... they're sleeping together pretty regularly!

The writer of that review does the BEST reviews, and is not a fanboy of anything. He uses a N1 on AT&T as his personal phone.

It is a nice phone, I just don't want one.

I knew the iPhone 4 would be the best phone out overall, but that also is based on the individual. You seem to be drooling all over this phone zpilot, why haven't you switched?

I just can't wait to see how many people Exodus from ATT to Verizon when they get the iPhone cuz Verizon will clearly have better call and data coverage

I would not give up my EVO for it... Like was posted above, give it a week and watch all the complaints pile in...

Then give it a month until people get their data bills... Netflix? Better not use it... Pandora? Better not use it.. MLBTV? Better not use it....

2 GB is NOT much if you use the device for other than phone, texting and light internet use...

AT&T Data Use Calculator

Holy shit 2.5 hours of streaming music puts you over the one month quota. That seals the deal for me. Gonna get an N1 and keep my unlimited plan.

EDIT: Nevermind, it's just downloading music. Still...less than an hour of streaming videos..

Uggghhh, did anyone else download the raw video file? Makes me think Google/HTC better come out with some kind of update to take better advantage of the camera. That video was pretty dam nice.

There was no need to dl the raw video to see that the iphone video is better than that of the Evos.

Joshua Topolsky is a Apple lover, he won't ever go out of his way to say anything against them, that's a known fact!! Having said that, I'd rather play with the phone first, myself, to see how good it is. Apple has years over Android, and so certain things they do, they do it right, but I rather take sprint's data plan over ATT, so I'll stick with the EVO for the next 2 years. By that time, phones will probably start talking to you and making you dinner..

It will be 'top of the line' for a few months, then beaten down by other phones.
That is one thing about iPhones, or any other phone - it's only bested for a few months then something better comes along.
Apple only gets a few months out of a year when they have something marginally superior.

The iphone does what it does well. There is no denying it and in many ways all android devices are still playing catchup. Gaming, media, pictures, video and internet browsing are always smooth as silk on the iphone. Certainly not the case with even the newest android devices.

Their biggest weakness are notifications and lack of widgets. The closed system is becoming less of an issue with multitasking getting added and adobe making epic blunders with their flash lead.

People keep saying this and I had an iPhone for a time.
It's the same.
I browse just fine, take pictures just fine.
Games, work just fine....
Video, again.. fine?

When people say it 'does it better' - how so?
You tap a video.. it plays.. you watch, what more is there to do?!
