iPhone '5C'

For the record, what the heck is a 'biometric' scanner? Anyone else wondering the same? Took me weeks to figure out what NFC was. Every android fan used it to slam Apple but I bet none used it or knew what exactly it was.

Biometrics is fingerprint and retinal scanners. 'bio'

I know what NFC is...

A KIRF restaurant.

I do know what NFC is, but I don't think I've ever seen it being used. It's something that some high-end phones have, but hardly anyone uses it. If it's sharing photos or songs or something, I think most people use Bluetooth, as just about all phones have BT. And I don't think contactless payments systems are likely to happen here for a long time, many stores don't even take credit/debit cards, cash only.

I haven't seen it used either. But just browse an Apple blog and tons of fandroids slam Apple like 'ur iCrapple doesn't even have NFC!'

I think NFC is a technology that's still looking for a definitive use. If it's tagging things QRcode does that very well, and no additional hardware needed, just about every phone has a camera.

Agree, the whole world may not be ready for NFC yet. To be honest, I haven't even found a place for it in my life, as no body I know has the feature.
