iphone outdated??

New phones - 1 step forward.

Restrictive upgrades - 2 steps back?

Add the new 14 day exchange policy (versus the old 30 days) and now we have 6 steps back. Add the recent data caps and bandwidth shaping/blocking and we have 20 steps back. As of right now, Verizon would have to be cheaper than Cricket for me to even consider switching to them from Sprint.

Lol.. the biggest evidence verizon is getting iphone?

Verizon just started locking down hardcore.

Anyway guys, I have to agree with IOWA's first post.

Who cares?

let whoever wants iphone get it.

I hope that my girlfriend decides to jump on the android boat one day but, if she doesn't I'm not going to leave her or anything.

Now.. she had got her mac before I met her... if she ever gets another one know that she realizes gaming is a live and fun on PC... that may be different :P

I miss the days of my youth when no one had ever heard of or cared about apple..

and people argued over things of importance.. Like politics.

the changes in verizon policies.. are those still just rumors? or has it been confirmed by verizon??

damn!!!!

taking on apple... and all their demands...
was that a plus in the long run??

this will be an interesting mobile year... on all fronts!

That may be the case, but they look brand new (I have never seen or heard of anyone complain about scratches or issues like they do with most any other refurbished brands). FWIW, refurbished doesn't necessarily mean bad. And also, they do have actualy new units in refurb boxes. GF ran my iPhone through the wash day after launch day and they gave me a new one out of a "refurb" box. There is no way they had refurbs in just 24 hours of launch. The point is, you walk in and they swap it out. Again, a far better deal than most handset manufacturers provide, which was my point to begin with.
Yep if you exchange it right after a new iPhone model release then most likely you've gotten yourself a new phone. The "genius" tech always check the sensors for water damage however, so you got lucky there. After the the initial period, it is the refurbished replacements for everyone however. Some on apple forum claims that Apple refurbished units are actually better than new since they are hand-inspected, versus mass assembly line. Apple iPhone refurbs always have a new case, which explains the brand-new look.
