iPhone to turn Android back into a pumpkin

I <3 my android device.
As the year progresses device fragmentation will drop as 2.1 updates get pushed. (xmas in July 4 me, I'm telling you)

Side note:
Verizon will NEVER get the iPhone
1) at&t is the most restrictive sob carrier on the planet, like Apple likes it. (Yahoo search?!?!)
2) Apple would have to make a cdma iPhone, and that will never happen.

I <3 iFans and how they constantly bash the platform that is taking over the Mobile OS market.

Android will own the OS market only because it's a generic brand. It's the micrsoft of today. IPhone OS is a higher end OS. It's not for everybody, therefore it's market is smaller. Android is the worlds cheap hoe. Everybodys doing her. Android gives you things you aren't supposed to have(flash). iPhone waits for the right time and gives it to u nice and good. She makes sure you will never want it from any other girl.

This is a disturbing analogy, but relevant analogy.

LOL @ this fanboi.

Well instead of the inexperienced hottie, give me the whore who knows what she is doing.

In all seriousness tho,

I do not think that it is fair to lump all Android devices into one category. I realize you are trying to compare OSes but how smoothly the OS runs does depend on the machine you are running on. Since you are comparing it to the iPhone, it is only fair to compare it to a high end Android device due to price tag.

I really don't understand how the iPhone does basic functions like 3G, MMS, instant messaging, video recording, GPS, voice recognition, stereo bluetooth, copy and paste, multitasking "right" (this list is features which took the iPhone a while to get, some even several years) while Android does them all wrong. If you ever use a high end Android device, you would probably know that Android does all of these just as good (if not better) than the iPhone (except copy and paste, it works but does work better on the iPhone, I will give it that).

How is the iPhone a higher end OS? Not only does it have more features (which it undeniably does), YOU CAN CUSTOMIZE ANDROID TO MAKE IT LOOK THE WAY YOU WANT IT TO LOOK. Don't like the wallpaper? Change it. Don't like the launcher? Change it. Don't like the keyboard? Change it. Want widgets on any of your homescreens? Add it. And through root, you can even change the user interface.

And with the better hardware of the higher end Android phones (faster CPUs, more ram), the Android OS runs pretty damn smoothly. And with the higher resolution, the screen does not look as pixelated.

And perhaps it is your opinion that smartphones should not have flash, but if you use your smartphone as a portable computer, it is nice to know that you have a real web browsing experience as opposed to a watered down one. Yes, the majority of sites on the internet use flash.

I choose Android over iPhone because it is far superior in pretty much every way. Why wait for features when you can have them all now? Running just as smoothly, if not, smoother (due to better hardware).

I read the article. I do not agree that the Iphone will kill the Android OS or vice versa. However, I do agree that the Iphone being held to one carrier did help Android gain traction. That's Apple's fault and now they are paying for it. They could have seriously hurt the Android OS sales if they would have just let other carriers have their stupid phone haha. I know a ton of VZW or Sprint people who would not have even looked at an Android phone if they had a chance to have an Iphone. Now, people actually have a choice now.
