iPhone user wants to switch

Lurker
I would like to drop my iPhone for an android phone but am concerned about the availability of podcasts (NPR, specifically). Is there an android tool such as itunes (or maybe plans for one) that can help with this?

Welcome to the Forums! :D

Their are a few Podcast / Music streaming type apps including Google Listen , Pandora , Last Fm, Spotify etc & Ofcourse you can always download Podcasts somewhere else and put them on your handset.

Carl

P.S. Have you heard Phandroids Podcast's yet?

Much appreciated Carl. :D Another question; when a new version of Android comes out how do the phones get updated?

No Problem :D

It depends on the Handset specifically how it gets updated but Most often & the majority of the time it is Done {OTA} over-the-air. You receive a simple Message prompt on your screen to Download and install an update , Very easy indeed! ;)

The hard part is waiting for the Update! :p

Awesome; thanks again. I'm confident an Android device will replace my iPhone without any major hiccups. I'll get the Motorola Droid when it comes out tomorrow...
