iPod to new Laptop

Hi Everyone,

Long story short, my hdd crashed on my old laptop (no backup..i know, i know ) and I obviously lost everything. Sad day that's for sure. I recently got a new laptop and want to export my songs from my iPod to my new laptop. I have seen programs you can buy, but I was hoping someone who knows more than me about computers knows a free way? I have over 20gb of music stuck on my iPod and I really would like to start filling up this 500gb hdd. If I can move the music off my iPod I'd eventually like to sell my iPod and buy a 32gb SD and move it all to my Incredible. Don't know if it matters, but I'm running W7 64bit and it's a 30gb iPod video

Thank you for the responses. That video won't work for me because the program is not compatable with W7. I'm going to check out yamipod and see if it works.

edit: I wasn't able to get yamipod to work. There isn't much of a trouble shooting page either. I'm going to suck it up and pay $20 to use ipodrip from ipodrip.net off a recommendation from a buddy. I'll post back with results in case anyone else has the same issue in the future

Wow! Thank you, sir! I'm not sure how I missed that site in my searches. I'm going to give this a try right now. Thank you again

edit: This works, but only for whatever songs it feels like, basically. There's no rhyme or reason to how the music is kept except for in folders called F0, F01 etc and then code within the folders representing the songs themselves. I've tried copying each folder individually and all at once and each time on certain folders copying one will remove 1, 2 or even 5 folders that have already been copied and vice versa. This is the most annoying thing I've ever witnessed in my life! F**K Apple for making it so hard to put MY MUSIC back onto MY COMPUTER. I'm going to biye the bullet on the program I mentioned in my previous post
