Iris Android - Siri on iPhone

Hi everybody, i find new app for Android - Iris (but is beta version), link http://lts.cr/2xF, developers making this, how on iPhone Siri, if you interesting welcome
P.S. Youtube link: First look at Iris on Android. - YouTube

Really? They couldn't even come up with a name, and had to use Siri spelled backwards.. im tired of copycats who can't think of anything original. I'm not going to even waste my time trying the app and watching the youtube video

I seriously hope the Siri, Iris, etc. thing does not catch on well. It was annoying enough hearing people's conversations on Nextels in public, but that has finally about died. Now this with people having conversations with a program??? Really!!! Talk about obnoxious and a pathetic attempt to draw attention to yourself. Mike "The Situation" will love it.

User: "Siri, am I a complete and total loser with no hope of a social life?"
Siri: "What was that? I wasn't paying attention." :p

Beta or not looks like a piece of shit.IMO Honestly I think voice apps like this are stupid as hell. Even Google voice. Thats the first thing I delete everytime. I rather just use Google then actually have a convo with my phone.

VLingo works much better than iris! I've tested both apps and Iris can't give me directions, it only opens up google to do a search. If you say "where is the nearest starbucks" all you get is a blank windows!

I had Iris first and didn't like it much, even though its in beta I believe. but also just recently got vlingo and can say it is much much better. works very well and seems to find more and has more functions. still weird to talk to ur phone, but still cool forbhands free while driving or something.

It works, but the UI in Vlingo is better and from what I searched it found more thing and not always a google search page. I like the navigate one cause while driving I don't need to input the address or place of business. I know there are other apps that do the same thing but I'm just giving my opinion on the 2 mentioned in this thread. Maybe ill try them side by side and ask the same questions and see if they find similar things. I know it will be improved so I wont give up on iris just yet, but in the time being I'm leaning towards Vlingo...
