Root is 2.2 rooted?

[potterdood]

I miss the free rooted wifi hot spot & being able to take screen shots. SO has 2.2 been rooted yet?

Not yet - will be soon. Check unrevoked dev team (unrevoked) on Twitter for updates

If you are already forever rooted... yes. I'm running rooted 2.2 check out unrevoked forever.

I couldn't unrevoked forever to work before I got 2.2, can I try it now or will it abort?

[turbozombie]

I'm pretty sure it will only work if you're at 2.1. However unrevoked 3.2 is just about ready, check it out: [ROOT] unrEVOked 3.2: one-click root for Froyo, no downgrading - xda-developers

I just used their new reflash.exe tool on a unrooted s-on 2.2 and it worked great!!!
