Help is 512mb ram enough

Ive got them both.
And thanks to your app I found out that 49mb are reserved by the system and I can only used 464 soooo we've got less ram than in the title. Wondering if this is the key of the speed for games.
You use the system to run apps.

The system uses some ram, apps use some ram - one way or another, you are getting the full use of all your ram.

Its enough overall dont need more.
I got -0.2ghz on my cpu but im not sending it to increase it cause ive got huge battery life and works fine.
Why dont android have system requirements thats a thing id like to know.
Thx anyway

No, it's not enough RAM. Think of like like a Windows computer. It can run on 1 gig as the minimum, but runs far smoother on 2gigs. So will the phone run, yes. Can you open up apps, yes, however the problems begin when switching between applications. Your in Twitter for example and the phone rings. You will see a slow reaction. You may hear it ring but can't answer at first. Or you screen shot something, then press share to bring up apps used to share things. Again, you will get a slow reply or response. It does catch up but it takes a while ad it becomes annoying.

1 GIG works, but I would suggest you treat that a the lowest.
1.5 is perfect, if you can find it. I had the HTCDesire 816. 1.5 Gig of ram, worked great.
2.gigs puts you in the sweet spot, as you will know you can handle anything, any new app out there for a while to come.

One more thing. Free App, Android Assistant. You can set it to Free up your Cache and RAM every 3 hours or so. This will help too, free up the memory for you.

Just read through on that link. Good stuff. I will admit, app was picked up initially when running an different version of Android. A lot has changed since then and I do still Keep Android not only for that one function, but because it does several other things. And since getting a new phone and upgrading, things have run smooth so the app and it's functions, may just be going through the motions to appease me. That said, I had my mom install it too. Something about that app is working for her, in my favor. My only proof is that she's not calling me as much to ask questions. So yeah, hard to quantify. Still, thanks for the info.
