Is a weak 4g signal better than a strong 3g one.

ok so i switched from the zte warp to the hte evo for boost mobile.I used to get really strong 3g signal from house with the warp. now im getting poor to fair signal in 4g with the evo. Is that better?
 
In my experience, a poor 4g signal is worst than 3g with a good signal. However, fair was significantly faster than 3g. That also depends on network load and the area.
 
Turn off the 4G radio and see how good your 3G signal is. You can't compare the two, it's identical to the apples and oranges thing. ;-)
 
I get around 2000kbps with poor signal on 4g, of course i haven't changed the 3g settings so i'm only getting 800kbps at best with 3g.
