Some more info on the Pro, and Motos in general. There seems to be a widespread problem with push/poll and syncing email. It will work for a while, then just stop working. There is a while thread dedicated to this on Motorola's website, and on another droid forum. Both threads deal with corporate sync, but the same thing happens to my friend's Pro with just POP3 mail. I called Moto on his behalf, and a level 2 tech support guy admitted that this was a problem since the first droid. He blamed Android, and said all devices affected, but when I mention my Incredible has no trouble, he admitted it was limited to "certain devices." His only solution was get K-9 Mail, which apparently doesn't suffer the same problem. Others have reported Touchdown works for Corporate Sync.
I had a Pro for one week. This post outlines what happens to me. If you use Exchange, DO NOT GET A PRO (or an X). Touchdown might work for a little while but it is also prone to failure.
I returned the Pro. The Incredible works.
