Help Is anyone else having these issues?

I 1st posted this in the wrong forum Hydro. So here we go again...

My phone is a Hydro Vibe. New out of the box I noticed a couple of problems that are driving me crazy.

1) The sound quality literally sounds like you are talking to your childhood buddy with a tin can and string! The quality on the other end of the call sounds great from what people have told me. The speakerphone sounds pretty good, but the earpiece is terrible!

2) While i'm typing a text msg random apps will just start up, forcing me to hit the home button and then go back to messaging and resume my draft! It does not happen every time but something like 9 out of 10 times.

Is anyone else having these kind of issues? or better yet have a fix for them?

FYI The phone is not rooted.
 
Try updating network PRL and updating profile both found under "about phone" section for me the voice quality varies, depending on the signal strength I suspect, I think voice quality has improved for me after doing that a few times. As far as your texting issue, that has never happened to me. I did get rid of the swipe keyboard and replaced with swift as the swipe was real glitchy and was causing freezes.

Yeah it's definitely crapware, and I have it disabled so I wouldn't doubt for a minute this is the cause. Thanks for the post good info!
 
FYI The new software update did a decent job of fixing the blurry camera issues, the texting issue was just my fingers touching the home button while texting, and the voice call quality i'm just gonna have to get used to I guess.
 
Not having those issues. I've been busy trying to get a near lollipop experience and It seems that this phone will simply not let you change the lock screen or app switcher. Turn the default lock screen off and you will rarely see your newly installed screen. Keep the default lock screen on and the phone will try to force the default screen before showing your new one.
 
I'm having terrible phone reception - no bars most places! Tried PRL and Profile fix, didn't help. I might return this phone.
 
As suggested by another forum, I switched from LTE/CDMA to just CDMA. I immediately got 4 bars and the data speed doesn't seem to have suffered.
 
Had one these phones for about 2 weeks. The (non) earpiece made it completely useless for me. Shoved it back up VM's a**.
