Is Battery Life Really That Mediocre (Bad) ?

Two reviews are showing Nexus 4 with very mediocre battery life. Not terrible, but not what you would expect from more efficient S4 processor and 2100mah battery? Even HTC One X, not even the new X+ with bigger battery, beat it.

I'd be curious to hear people's experience after a few days as it compares to your old phone, especially an HTC One X+, iPhone 4S, or iPhone 5.

Both reviews confirming poor battery life.

Holy crap, I must have misread somewhere that the Nexus 4 had a micro SD slot. It doesn't! I've got 15GB in MP3/m4a'S alone! This thing is a toy with that kind of memory. Google must assume you are going to have a constant Wi-Fi or 3G connection to stream your music from Google Play (and not go over your carrier's data limit). Insane. Keeping the One X+.

It has a micro sim, that may be how you got temporarily confused. No slot for expandable memory.

That said, every phone is a compromise. I don't mind at all since I use an iPod for my music anyway. My phone is primarily for use as a business smartphone to work on the web while mobile. To handle email, notes in Evernote and the like. For that kind of usage my Nexus 4 is perfect. :)
 
The 16GB model has 13GB free when you get it. That's room for a good 10GB of music + apps and whatever else. Anytime you're around wifi you can always stream music from Pandora, the cloud, etc.. I for one think 10GB of music everywhere I go plus the option to stream with wifi or over my data connection is plenty, but that's the great thing about Android. Choice.

a toy,,,, 2 gigs ram,, quad core processor,, and its a toy,,,

not everyone needs that kind of memory,,,

i think calling it a toy is derogatory

maybe the toy part is not paying for enough data for you to support cloud storage when away from wifi,,

this phone is far from being a toy

also i dont know what bit stream your music is at,, but 10 gigs is a hell of a pile of music, so 10 gigs plus room for apps ,, i dont see a issue,, insane

I have like 200GB of music but I ended up only being able to get the 8GB model. I'll survive for now.
