Is CM Security's APPLock safe and reliable!? Quick please!

I have CM Security and it is telling me that for advanced protection to be enabled it needs access to be able to erase all of my data (what's the meaning of this!?). I don't know what to do, I don't know if I should accept. It sounds suspicious.
Please help! Is it safe and reliable?

What is it and where did it come from? The only "CM Security" I know makes things for prisons, a Canadian company. "erase all of my data" could be what it says, i.e. it's going to erase all your data.

If it's something that popped up, adware or malware, then don't trust it at all, definitely uninstall it.

Yes, it is this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cleanmaster.security&hl=en so can you please help me? Is the app. lock feature on it reliable and safe? And what happens when I enable Advanced Protection/to protect against uninstall - does it erase all my data or something? Because that's what it's saying for me in order to activate it.

I don't know anything about CM Security so I can't comment if it is good or bad, however here is some general advice:

1) If you didn't seek it out to install, don't install
2) If it sounds suspicious - then always go with the safe play, don't install or tell it no. There is nothing you need to have "now". There is always time to research and install later (and if for some reason that you can't - then you don't need it).

Okay thanks for the advice. Do you have any apps. that is reliable and safe and can lock other apps. that you could recommend to me? Would be great.
