Is Facebook a real app?

[nasht00]

I have a Facebook app on my droid, however
1) in the Market is does not show up in my "downloads"
2) in settings > applications > manage applications, it doesn't show up either
3) in the market, if i search for "facebook" it doesn't say "installed"
4) I don't know how to upgrade it!

Does facebook have a special status?

It's kind of weird. It's built in on the Droid, so in order to see it in Applications, you'd probably have to do Menu > Filter > All. For some reason, updates do not show up properly in the Market. This is most likely because you never actually downloaded it since it came on the phone, and because of that it doesn't register as a downloaded app and doesn't check for updates. You can download the Facebook app from the Market and it will update your current app.
