Im was doing a couple speed test here in new york,ny. And I gotta say I can't pass 1mbs. I feel like the phone is on 3g or something. I seen other speedtest get way more then 2mbs.

Is att fixing this problem or what's going on.

it's faster than the iphone that is on 3g as i've compared downloads and done speed tests on my old phone and girlfriends iphone 4 on 3g..
I think H+ is pretty fast.

Where are you doing the speed test? Outside or inside a concrete building? Did you try it with other AT&T phones? Are they getting the same speed? There's a lot of reason why your speed might be low. One being that you're not in a good coverage location in that part of NY. I know I have that with my phone. There are areas in my city where reception is horrible 2/3mbs, while in other areas, it's great with 5-7mbs.

I know At&T is campaigning that they are going to spend millions of dollars to create more signal here in the Los Angeles area, are they also doing that in the New York area?

H+ is either 3g or 4g depending on where you are. There are about 12 cities that have HSPA+ AND advanced backhaul. Att entire network is HSPA+ but without the backhaul its meaningless.

That's where att is a little shady. Verizon's thunderbolt displays 4g when you are an area with LTE and 3g when you aren't. The atrix shows h+ everywhere.

I find that sometimes I can get anywhere from from 5000 kbs dl to as low 900 kbs dl. with back to back tests. Doesn't really matter where I am in the town that I live in either. just pure randomness.
