Which benchmarkers do you all use? I use quadrant because I was led on to believe that it test the galaxy s phones better then other benchmarkers. But most galaxy s phones benchmark terribly on others even though they are awesome phones! So why are they benchmarking so low, even with a great gpu and cpu...

I don't know. All I care about is how well my phone works for practical things on a daily basis. Benchmark numbers mean very little to me.

My DX running Libery has kept me pretty happy.... until now. I tried out my friends Thunderbolt and was blown away by the speed/smoothness of that device. Now I'm totally ****ing tortured!

Lol yea you are right about the basic functionality and stuff. Yes the thunderbolt is a good phone, but so is the dx

Most people use Quadrant because if everyone is using a different benchmark program, then the numbers are meaningless. Even using the same program, they don't mean that much in the real world, but at least you have a common baseline for comparisons. Another common benchmarking app is Linpack, and may make better use of the SGS hardware than Quadrant does.

To be honest I think way too much emphasis is put on what benchmark score people get. I would rather my phone runs smoothly and without sticking and freezing than have a super high benchmark.

Quadrant means jack shit, I get 1100 on SGS but my phone is faster than the speed of light  no seriously tho, you apply a lagfix your quadrant score jumps to 2000s even real use feels a tiny bit faster. Its all about the file system you use. RFS = low quadrant EXT 4/2 = high quadrant
