Is it just me or is battery life rather poor?

I don't use my phone most of the day when at work, it checks for new email every hour, I check twitter a couple of times during the day but that's really it, when I get out of work after 9 hours battery is around 30% and as I say that's with really doing nothing, My iPhone 4 used to be around 70% once I got out of work with the same amount of usage.

I know if I took to listening to music on it at work it wouldn't survive to lunch time, my iPhone with a good 8 hrs listening had 50% battery left after work.

I've read about people complaining about battery life on every platforms that I've been on. Battery life varies and mostly depend on the usage of the device. I use my phone a lot, so I make sure I have more than two fully charged batteries at all times.

The problem is _ these batteries aren't capable of maintaining these high end devices.

I think most probably your phone has some background apps running that's using up all the battery? Also if your mobile data is always on, that uses battery too. You can consider installing an app like JuiceDefender which switches off the mobile data whenever the screen is off and only turns it on for say 2 minutes whenever you do switch on your screen...

About battery life:
1- Turned off : 2G,3G, WiFi if You don't needed.( Turned on if You need.)
2- Turned off: background data and auto sync.( very important for battery life, turn on when neede).
3- Make your Home Screen darker with black images or black themes.
4- Remove some apps what' s you don't use for longtime.( may bee SYSTEM APPREMOVER used).
5- Don't put animation's widged like: clock widged, clock and weather widgets....in to Your Home Screen.

There're some Advices from me and from other Android's members. Hopefully that's can helps You.

You have to take into consideration the size of the screen compared to the iPhone 4,my girlfriend has one and its tiny compared,so of course its going to use more battery power. Have u tried a bigger battery? I agree above ,apps running in the background eats the battery.I use dolphin browser and battery saver add on and my phone lasts a day ( I only turn on the internet to check emails every so often and browse the internet at night using WiFi m8.
