Is it possible to disable Dot View?

I use a magnetic car mount (Primarily because I hate fumbling around with mouths). Any way - now, I have to keep trying to get it on the mount, without the Dot View Screen coming on. I get it - apparently that's how the case operates. If there's any way to disable it, that would be great.

Uninstall the app for the HTC Dot View app. Or disable the app.

Unfortunately there is no way to disable it currently. I am sure it will be a feature available in the future if you are rooted and want to install a custom ROM.

If you search dot view in play store I'm pretty sure option is there to uninstall...

Unfortunately all it does is uninstall the update, it doesn't uninstall the app itself.
