Is It Possible to Import Apps from Computer to Android?

Hi guys! I just got my S2 today and its my first Android so I'm basically a noob. Well anyways my S2 is not connecting to my Wi-Fi at home for some reason but I want to install some Apps on my phone for the meantime before I get it fixed. Is it possible to download them on my computer, then transfer them to my S2 through a USB? If so, I can then install them afterwards right? Is it the same with games?

if u have a way of getting the .apk file (thats like the setup file for the app) on ur computer, u can copy those via USB and install them on ur phone. however, make sure u only download apk files that are for free apps..most apk files online are for paid apps, and are illegal :)

I would suggest you concentrate on fixing your home wifi, as it certainly should connect to your wifi? Whats the issue?

Thanks heshanj. Daz_2000, I have no idea. I tried to connect to my home Wi-Fi and on the Wi-Fi settings list, where it says Wi-Fi, the subtext under it keep repeating the same three things "Scanning, Connecting, Disconnected..."

The easiest and quickest way to get apps on onto your phone is to browse to the Android Market from your home computer. Then log into it using your Gmail credentials. Now when you select an app from your PC you will have the option to install to (i.e. push) any of your Android devices - your SGS II should appear in the list of available devices if the app is compatible with it.
