Is it possible to root to stock Android and get auto android updates?

Is it possible to get immediate updates from Google if I flash to stock rom? Something like a Nexus SGS2. Or am I stuck with that rom and have to flash newer versions whenever software comes out.

Today my phone got this: unfortunately, com.android.vending has stopped

Cannot access google play. So apps can't update. No idea what to do now. I think rooting will help?

Also, I can't find what app is using the sound notification. It is not messages app, and occurs randomly. When I check the phone, there is nothing.

Also, I noticed that my phone is getting slower on touchwiz. I am not sure if the 4x2 elixer widget + camera, silent mode widget on the front page that is making the phone slower.

We are stuck waiting for Samsung to release updates as google only release code to manufacturers and updates to nexus devises!

It's down to wether they release it for that device, certain regions have got jelly bean already and it works brilliantly on the rooted phones with the likes of neat Rom!
