Help Is it possible to turn off low battery popups?

so it looks like I have to root my phone for this to work? I really don't want to bother with that. I wouldn't mind the notification if it weren't so damned loud.

edit: I guess it helps to read all the way to the end. Downloaded Sound Manager, will see how that works tonight.
 
What I find odd is with my T-Mobile branded S3 there is not popup or sound when it reaches full charge. I do get the Full charge icon in the Status bar at the top and the screen lights up and then times out.

Battery Notifier is a good app for battery percentage, temperature and alerts mate
