Help is it possible to unlock Samsung Galaxy Indulge

MoNkLorD

Lurker
to be used with another carrier?

I had mpcs for 2weeks and hated it (phone was crap too my fault for using)
i turned and got the new samsung Galaxy s 2 from sprint.

My wife has the Samsung Galaxy Indulge on Metro for 4 months she too now wants to move away from metro.

Not really worth it to sell her phone but we were wondering if it was possible to unlock to the phone so we can give it to our son to use on t-mobile?

if i am up in the clouds with the whole idea i am sorry.

TIA - all replies welcome.

Its impossible MetroPCS is a CDMA network which does not take sim cards.
T-mobile is a GSM network....t-mobile phones take sim cards.
they both use 2 different networks.
so your better off just buying your son a t-mobile phone or just get the samsung indulge turned on and give it to your son

Thanks eric for the swift response. I will just try and sell the metro phone then. We really don't next it come beginning of the month. just wanted to see what our options were since it is just about 4 months old.

Yes. But no.
It is a UICC card, but not exactly a typical Sim card as you know it. It's made specifically for CDMA networks and could be called a CSIM card.
It will not work in a GSM phone because the underlying interface/application the card uses to communicate with the device is different and not readily compatible.
the only cards that work across all UICC types of devices are R-UIM cards, which differ from what's in our phones. :(
