Help is it safe to put cc info in the Market???

How safe is it to buy apps from the market by using a credit card. Does the market store your credit card in the phone. Has anyone ever had problems with their cards or information?
 
It stores it at google checkout. You can access that site with your computer and add or delete cc info. You log in using your gmail account.
 
to answer your question, it is absolutely safe. however, if you ever think your google account has been compromised, make sure to change the password immediately (something you would probably do anyway) because if you dont, that person could have a field day with google market,
