Is it still worth buying?

Hi everyone,
I am new to the forum.

Can you please tell me if it is worth buying the Nexus7 2013 32gb tablet new?

Or should I think of buying something else?

Thanks

Hi,
I have an ipad mini 2 already, and have had an iPhone 3g and 4s in the past but I now use use a Sony Xperia Z2 phone.
I did have an HTC One M8 but broke it by dropping it into some water.
I much prefer the flexibility of Android.
I would really like a Nexus 6P phone.

Anyway back to your question, I would use the tablet mainly for Google apps, email, calender, socal apps, YouTube, Web browsing etc.
I would also use it for some reading kindle books.
The resolution seems better than most of the other tablets out there apart from the premium ones.
I'm not bothered by games, I'm probably too old now at 49.
I have played with Linux over the years and am capable of rooting if I have the instructions and right sw to do it.
I would prefer to be able to use MM if possible without any bloatware etc.
I'm not sure about your question how did I find this, but I found the forum via tapatalk if that's what you mean.
Thanks again [emoji3]

That's the tablet my son uses, for the most part it's fine but his Bible app is slow on it. And no he's not a gamer so there are no games installed

The Nexus 7 (2013) is a huge hit with Android fans, myself included. It is very versatile and basically is a clean slate. The development of this platform is impressive, I would be hard pressed to find a device with a larger list of custom ROMs available. There is also mention of N coming our way soon. If you are looking for a sleek , uber-fast, state-of-the-art tablet, this may not be for you, but for the price it cant be beat.

Also the 32gb is nice but not completely neccessary. Nexus 7 (2013) is USB-OTG ready.
As for my second question, I was joking. It's a popular device, hard to find sometimes. If you found a new 32gb Nexus 7 (2013) chances are it won't last long.

I would be an android fan boy-old man, I guess. The N7'13 is (for me) the best tablet going; still!! It is an ideal 7' form factor. The screen is HD clear and bright, it runs NexFlix and HD movies beautifully. The battery lasts a long time. I haven't found an app that doesn't excel on this machine.

Bg is right on. If you find a new one, snap it up! But, they are so rare, and so treasured, I would imagine a new 32gb model would be outrageously expensive.

In my nightly prayers, I pray for the longevity of my own N7'13..!!

It's still one of the best 7 inch tablets. Pure Android, monthly security updates, HD screen, fast enough for light gaming not to mention everything else. Custom roms, custom roms, and more custom roms. No other tablet, aside from maybe other Nexus's, have so much development. I think it's a worthy investment.

Thanks for all the input.

I have taken the plunge and bought the 2013 32gb version.

I may end up giving my ipad2 to my daughter [emoji3]
