Root is kit cat available for our N7 yet?

It is not yet released (I'm discounting unofficial builds).

Whether it will OTA on a rooted device is unknown until it becomes available, but previous releases have worked on rooted but otherwise truly stock devices - albeit breaking root in the process - so it seems likely that this one will also work. That said, re-rooting is so trivially easy on the Nexus 7 it's a moot point anyway.

Yea i tried this and lost root so becareful it also messes up cwm recovery causing me to reflash it

yes it seems to have some bugs,i guess you would say,thats why i stated to BECAREFUL,its not for daily use,basically just to check it out,the article explains it more indepth,it even said twrp is not to use to use cwm,but i see jlede has issues with cwm,so like i said and the article BCAREFUL!!

I flashed the pa-aosp version of 4.4 with no problems. Had to use CM touch recovery. Wipe data, flash ROM and Gapps. Works fine. no issues to report other than some missing functions but it is an alpha after all.
