Is less than 8 hours under heavy use normal? Also, it's getting really hot.

So I was just wondering if this is normal. Under standby I can get about 30 hours or more but when I'm just simply surfing the internet my phone gets extremely hot and I only get 6-7 (8 if I'm lucky) hours of use. Is this normal for these phones? Also, when I'm surfing the internet it seems like the phone is getting extremely hot. Does anyone else's phone heat up when just simply using the internet?

Ok so right now it's at 54% and it's been on for 5h40m. Screen on time is 1h36m. Is this normal? It's saying that the screen has used 52% of the battery, Android OS 18%, and the rest are around 7%.

Check your screen brightness too. The OLED is dim as fook but it needs to be about half way brightness and auto off.

Samsung don't tell you but OLED consumes a lot of power the brighter it goes. White web pages and screens etc consume lots more compared to the same white LCD screen.

When I first got my S2 it also ran hot and battery was poor. I now run the official UK ICS rom and it's a lot better. It's been a while since it ran hot.
