Help Is market server down?

hello guys, im wondering if the market server is down? because i cant go to the market to buy apps it says server error RETRY.
 
It's working fine here, but the Market (aka Google Play) has been know to have regional outages from time to time. It could also be a routing issue with your provider. Give it a little time and see if it comes back. It usually does.
 
ok thanks, i hope its not my phone with the problem, i live in the USA, and i will wait until later. finger cross.
 
I am having the same problem too. I just bought my S II and I can't access the MARKET. I tried factory reset and many things, but still the same :(.
Could someone help me please?

A little more information might help. What part of the world are you connecting from? Who is your carrier? and, are you attempting to connect via WiFi or using your mobile network?
 
hey iv been having the same problem too. it keeps coming up that a server error occurred. i did factory reset and EVERYTHING. im going beserk here. btw im frm guyana.
 
Here is the official listing of supported countries. Google Play (the market) has been know to have regional outages, so if you had market access before be patient. It will most likely come back on its own.
 
I/m from Kosovo (ex part of Serbia, Europe) using wi-fi. It really sucks, I cannot download any application. I tried almost anything.
 
There are alternatives to the market, especially if you are in an unsupported region. One of our members has put a list together from XDA furms in this thread. Please keep in mind that I cannot vouch for these sites as I have not used most of them. I do know getjar, the Amazon store and Appbrain are legit, although Appbrain will simply link you back to Google Play.
 
anyways im still not getting through. thanks for the help though. ill wait it out n see what happens. if its the same then my android would b one less phone in existance *demented smile*
