Is my Desire covered by HTC warranty? Telus

I have an HTC Desire on a 3 year contract from Telus. I didn't buy the extended warranty, and was wondering whether my phone was covered by the HTC 2 year warranty, although I bought it on contract from Telus.
(The warranty from telus is at an extra 7 dollars a month)

HTC will honor any manufacturing defects with the handset for the full 24 months, regardless of any 'special' warranty arrangements you may have with your cellular carrier.
