Root Is my phone done for???!!!

Okay so I'm new here and I'm sure people have already posted responses to similar questions, but I was wondering if I need a new phone. I tried rooting my phone and followed it step by step and it seemed to work, but after I rebooted it I now have no service whatsoever. No 3g, wifi, etc. I tried calling Verizon activation number and everything and it just kept saying call lost. Is my phone bricked or can someone please save me some money and post a solution.

So I understand everything you did. You first followed the post to downgrade to Android 2.3.3. You then Followed the post to root your phone and you now have S-Off and Superuser installed?
 
Yes that is exactly right. I then realized I didn't have service and so I unrooted it. And now I still don't have service.
 
Not sure. I have never experienced this problem before so I'm just suggesting things I would try if I was having this issue.
 
If you followed the steps in the two posts located at the bottom of my signature you will be fine. If the same thing happens again do a factory reset again. You will not loose root
