rooted (z4) and overclocked using droidxoverclock...I noticed last night it got up to 109f. Is that normal, or do i have a timebomb in my hands?

Thanks!

What were you doing at the time? Web surfing, video, etc.

If you were just making calls or the phone was idle then you may have problems. If you were doing something to work the CPU like web, gaming, video then the CPU will get hot. I would back off my oc a little and see what happens.

It's a little known secret that the Droid X was designed specifically for use inside walk-in freezers. Motorola was trying to corner the meat-packing industry's cell phone needs.

The phone was sitting idle in my pocket at the time. I set it back to factory specs on droidoverclock and its at 95f right now.

That's still kinda hot. At idle mine is normally about 84 f. The last time mine got hot was when I had been on the web and forgot to exit. I felt it in my pocket getting hot. Was at about 105 f
