Hey guys. I was just wondering if the stock image for N4 that can be downloaded from google site already include stock Kernel or do I have to reflash the stock Kernel if I already flashed other kernels? What I'm trying to do is, restore it back to bone stock without any mods.

Hey guys. So, I used that Factory Image from google. I did as the instruction said on there. Just double click on flash-all.bat. It includes boot.img. So, I think it restored everything. The downside I found was, it wiped my internal memory. :( Lol. Should've read it thoroughly. Thanks guys for the help again.

Oh man! That sucks about your data. I feel bad: looking back I could have easily mentioned that as a disclaimer as I usually would.

And yeah, the stock kernel is included. Your device couldn't boot up without it. The kernel is like the brain and nervous system of your device and acts as the interface between hardware and software.

Parts of a ROM, stock or custom are as follows:

Kernel, OS, Core functions (basic apps to use the phone, send texts, email, etc...) and optional apps, i.e. bloatware (on a Nexus device we don't see this because it is bone stock; this applies more to non-Nexus devices).
