Is T-Mobile USA getting its version of the Evo?

not sure but I don't think it is coming anytime soon.

Yea they just found out today it has no American 3G bands.
It's really no different then the Evo. So making two of them in one Country is pointless. It is a little faster because it has a better graphics processor. The new one Qualcom has released and has the new sense.

Simple things such as the Sense can be in a update. I can definitely see HTC pushing the new Sense out after the phone (Desire HD) hits shelves.
Then what will be the difference between that and the Evo? Nothing really.
One will just handle graphics better. Which leads to a slight edge for speed. Evo will still have the front facing camera when the Desire doesn't. Best thing to do is grab a device that will holds it's own for the entire year. Shouldn't need a new phone until the successor comes out. I know it's hard sometimes.
And you best believe hackers and developers will find some way to snatch that new sense our way.
It just takes time for things to be pushed over. Don't hop to the newest thing so fast. Only game changer devices come once a year. Anything else in between is in comparison with a slightly different form factor.
Desire HD is not a game changer. It's a better looking Evo phsycial wise and has a few tweaks...

Howetechnical he has no valid point, his points will not apply to T-Mobile in a massive way, because the hspa+ bandwith is already being used by non-hspa devices. With no hick-ups.

Actually, every 3G phone in T-Mobiles current lineup, is capable of taking advantage of the HSPA+ network. This is why you get 6-7 Mbps on your Vibrant. So regardless, doesn't matter if the device is true HSPA+ or not, the bandwith is being used by millions of people, including yourself. If you go into a non hspa+ area, expect your vibrant to get slower speeds, you ARE using the HSPA+ network, just not to the full extent of its power.

If your argument is that when true HSPA+ comes out, and the 7-12bmps actual vs theoretical 21mbps people will be using will break the bank, I highly doubt it. Especially with millions of people already using the HSPA+ network on NON hspa+ phones, with no dent in their network.

HSPA+ is faster than wimax, and always will be. It will even get faster when t-mobile turns on 41+mbps.

No, look up the facts. Hspa+ doesn't touch wimax in thoery, and as of right now, with already millions of users, wimax hasn't suffered, and it won't suffer. This is also the reason wimax will be used and already is used as a backhaul solutiion, and hspa+ won't be. And actual speeds of today are right around the same with peak levels, but if you have the same amount of users on wimax as hspa, hspa+ will be a dog and wimax wouldn't even be phased. And in the next couple of months or so, with more and more people upgrading to smartphones, and the explosion of the tablet market, that will all come into play very heavily.

Do your research son, because your wrong. And all the facts,(you know, things that have been scientifically proven and all that) agree with me. Ill side with the facts over some biased "reviews" any day of the week.

And? I've hit 12mbps with wimax in parts of chicago. Noobs these days.

You ask, And? And? And? And my point is, T-Mobile customers are getting 7mbps on $10 3G plans, hahahah, thats right, it's not even HSPA+ yet!

Gosh just image when HSPA+ phones are released, with the upcoming G2. Sprint customers are going to sit there with a stupid look on their face.

Any idea if T-Mobile has announced if there will be an extra charge for HSPA+ yet?

I am most likely dropping Sprint for T-Mobile but I hate being up-charged for certain phones.

Let the HSPA+ network congestion begin. Gee, ever hear of ATT? Guess what they run? Oh gee, that was HSPA+ wasn't it? Perfect example of network congestion. And Sprint despite having millions less subscribers carried more data than ATT without a hiccup, meanwhile, ATT's Congested network took a beating. How's that for real world examples here, chief.

Well your talking about 80m+ customers vs about 35m ish. Who knows if that congestion will affect T-Mobile or not.

As for real world examples of Sprint vs Att here....Even with congestion ATT dominates Sprint. Right now I am test driving T-Mobile and their Edge in some cases are going stronger then Sprint 3G.

Honestly technology is ever-changing and like I was saying before the congestion may not affect T-Mobile simply because they don't have that huge of a user-base...They could be on the next form of data speed before that happens.

I am not rly for or against either company atm...I have big beef with Sprint for the way imo they have conducted business over the past 2 yrs and I am rdy for a break from them. If 4G ever comes to where I am and its consistent, price is right, and reliable then I would be willing to give them another try.

But anyway....Anyone know question to my previous question whether T-Mobile has announced if HSPA+ will cost more monthly or not?

There is more than one person getting HSPA+ for $10/mo on their "unlocked" phones with the web2go plan...currently no surcharge for the higher tier speeds, unlike Sprint/4G. The regular $25/$30 mo. plans have access as well.

I called and spoke to 611 about that today, I asked about the plan I would need when I get my G2. She said I could use my 4 year old voice plan and my 2 year old G1 data plan. I would not be required to change if I didn't want to.

so I would say no upcharge

For someone that is an obvious hater of all things gsm and especially Tmobile, why are you in here Iowa. I'm not trying to pick a fight but what is the point of coming in here and trying to prove that Sprint is the almighty carrier to all that is cellular. I don't blame the guy for not wanting Sprint. They have horrible customer service and their plans are not that great compared to Tmo. I had sprint for over 2 years and they sucked, plain and simple.

Lol.... seriously? I'm in here to try and spread truthful and honest information. That's what I do.

1. From personal experience, Sprints CS USED TO be real bad, yeah. But within the last 3 years, they have gotten a helluva a lot better. Tmo's CS on the other hand, from what I hear, has gone down considerably. But that's besides the point, everyone's mileage with CS will vary, and some people are just too demanding and expect the world and a side of fries with their mobile service(and anything else these days)

Plans not that great with Sprint? Seriously? When's the last time you've done a comparison?

vs

Sprint

Simply Everything

I would have to agree that Sprint is a great value carrier. Plans are generally better then anything any other carrier has to offer. My problem is their data speeds and phone selection just are not worth it. If your gonna pay a premium price on any carrier, might as well have the premium service to go with it imo.

You say At&t runs HSPA+ ????? Really? Since when? Care to provide proof that At&t is using HSPA+
Also provide a list of At&t HSPA+ cities. I would love to see what cities have At&t HSPA+

This should be amusing. Oh ya, don't forget the plus sign behind HSPA+

Maybe you could also enlighten me and tell me which At&t phone is HSPA+, is it the iPhone 4? Is it the Captivate? Hmmm just curious, thanks.

Did I strike a nerve with your precious little Sprint? You obviously need this place more than I do posting at 4 a.m. on a saturday. I could care less what you have to say. I wasn't trying to start anything but you want to try to be a smartass. You have no idea when I had Sprint and no idea when I started Tmo. I pay $150 after taxes for two lines and unlimited everything including my android plans.

I found something for you jerk it to

Wow, you guys really can't stay civil and keep the thread on topic. There is no need to debate Sprint vs T-Mobile. The OP wanted to ask about T-Mobile so T-Mobile it is.

Sorry OP, not worth my time to even TRY to clean this mess up.
