Yes, as a former iPhone user, my interest was peaked, I live by the code: He who expects nothing is " Never" disappointed. I LOVE my EVO. even with some issues with HDMI,googles, these are all luxury problems, the service in the middle of nowhere has been great!! I am getting 3G where the iPhone's are getting nothing or just edge. posting from gulf coast west of Panama City Beach,

Coming from an AT&T Blackberry 8310 ( EDGE network) I am floored by the performance, the function, the color, and the build quality.

I have been using Blackberrys since they were monochrome. I have also installed a few 9000s and 9700s. The android OS is such a quantum leap from those "corporate" phones that I am still overwhelmed by the scope of what this phone can do. Basically I have replaced my netbook with it. The only thing it won't do yet is play World of Warcraft. If it did that, I would be useless at work so I guess its a good thing.

Absolutely love it, and i still find new stuff about it (yay for not diving right in and finding everything about it i can). One thing i miss about my moment (only thing, really) is that if you find a number on the internet, you could click on it, and then click call..evo seems to be missing that

I can tap a # from the internet & my Evo will dial it.

Big YES. I live 2 blocks from a 4G tower, so that really helps. Battery life is underwhelming but I will make do. I have always had a winmo phone, and Android is just a joy. This phone just keeps surprising me.

Getting contacts synched properly, duplicates
No "mark all as read" in e-mail
Calendar snooze is useless, had to download app
Web based app market (appbrain helps here)
Some old WinMo apps not up to snuff on Android yet
No 4G yet in San Diego

Yes, this phone has exceeded my expectations. With that said, there still are things that I know are not perfect and obstacles are to be expected. I am okay with this, the Evo is a amazing piece of hardware the reeks excellence.

Yes this phone more than exceeded my expectations. I learn something new about this phone everyday. I even got sprint a few new customers after they experienced my EVO. Its not perfect but what is.
