Is the Inspire's screen too big?

I love it. Perfect size for everything.

On that note, how big do you think is TOO big? I'd say 4.5 is pushing it. 5 inches, like the Streak, I think is just too much. Does the community agree or disagree?

It's not the size that matters, its how you use it :D

It took me a day to get used to how much bigger it was than my iPhone, even now I fumble with it in the car every now and then when I am trying to dial out. I ended up sending my most called contacts via BT to my car's phone book which makes things easier.

Overall its the perfect size imo, the iPhone screen while having a great resolution had such a small feel to it.

I have to agree. I was looking at the future offerings from HTC and let me tell you if nothing has 4.3 I'm not upgrading

depends on what you use it for... I thought my friends captivate was about perfect... then I found out about the inspire now when I see her's it's just tiny (and almost the physical same size body).

the dell streak is neat... I considered it for a few min... $99 at bestbuy is pretty sweet... but it's a tablet that happens to be able to make phone calls... not a phone that happens to be able to do tablet stuff...

the inspire is about perfect... any bigger and I couldn't operate the phone with one hand.

When I first opened the box, I DID think the screen was a tad over sized, but after only a day, it feels perfect. Not too big and definitely not too small. One thing I absolutely hated about the Captivate was the ATT label on the top and Samsung label on the bottom. HTC is pretty good about not doing that, and if they do, it doesn't take nearly as much space as Samsung. To me, it makes the actual screen seem not so cluttered.

I personally think 4.5 would be the limit for me, but I won't be upgrading for a while as I'm absolutely in love with the Inspire. Anything bigger than 4.5 might as well just be a small tablet IMO.

I don't think it's too big, but I think it's as big as you can go without getting oversized. It's just the right size for me. :)

As long as it fits in a pocket and does not require a carry case or belt clip..its great. The bigger the better. Having said that i feel no difference between the inspire and an ipone in a pocket of a pair of jeans or dress slacks.

I was initially concerned that the Inspire's screen might be too large. After a week of use I would have a really hard time going back to a smaller screen :) The big screen really pays off for web surfing (on the full desktop versions of websites), photos, and typing in portrait mode.

Totally agree I will not go under 4.3
