What grey market are you referring too?
Negri Electronics is located in Las Vegas, Nevada and highly reputable.
Grey market means the device was marketed for sales in a different country. BTW, the Note 8 LTE version for AT&T just shown up in FCC. AT&T will likely remove the phone app, but maybe a rooted device could bring it back safely.
do you have the headset in the box? i saw the unboxing samsung note 8 on youtube and there was a headset in the box, but it was not in my box.
were you able to register yours from samsung to get the $25 credit on google play? i couldn't get mine to register on samsung' site.

Which model number did you both get from eBay & Amazon?
If you have the wifi only version there are no headsets in the box.
The inserts that come in the box have a different link to register your device.
If you're still having trouble or haven't rec'd the credit you'll have to call Samsung's 800 # directly.

But it doesn't have cellular radios, just 3G/4G radios for internet connectivity.
