is the note a phone or tablet ?

It's a Phoneblet! I see it as both. Honestly...isn't an iPhone really a SMALL tablet with a phone device?! So why can't the G. Note be a phone AND a tablet? What is the real definition/requirement of a tablet anyway? I think a tablet is just a touchscreen with apps on it - disregard of size really...no? And obviously a phone must have the ability to call out and receive calls. At the end of the day, it's whatever you want it to be really. To me, it's both. Hence, a phoneblet!! =)
